About Zinc Melting Scrap
Zinc melting scrap moves between countries as a feed for zinc smelters and die-casting operations. The metal is recovered from old die castings, galvanised steel, and battery scrap among other sources. India, China, Korea, and Japan have active downstream zinc industries, with the United States and Europe also generating substantial flows.

Old zinc die cast scrap. Includes automotive and miscellaneous die castings, free of iron, dirt, and corrosion.
Score
New zinc die cast scrap — runners, gates, and clean die-cast offcuts.
Scoot
Zinc die cast automotive grilles, with or without chrome plating.
Scope
Mixed common new zinc base die castings.
Screen
New zinc clippings — clean, unmixed sheet zinc scrap.
Scribe
Old zinc sheets and rolled zinc — gutters, downspouts, and similar.
Scroll
Zinc galvanisers' dross — residues from the galvanising bath.
Seam
Zinc residues — top dross from galvanising operations.
Stings
